Our container bolt seals
This barrier seal is provided with a handy removable security sticker including barcode. This sticker can be attached to transport documents easily. The Bolt Seal 30C RSS can be supplied with your company logo clearly visible on the barrel.
This barrier seal is made of galvanized low carbon steel, wrapped with ABS. We supply our bolt seals BS-30C in the colors white, yellow, fluor red, orange, green and blue. Anti-spin construction ensures that a locked bolt cannot be rotated out.
The bolt seal BS-40 has a larger print area than the bolt seal BS-30, specifically designed for custom prints of logos. The large print area ensures that all designs will fit. This high quality bolt is galvanized low carbon steel and wrapped with ABS. The barrier seal BS-40 has a breaking strength of 1700 kg. All seals are uniquely numbered.
The bolt seal BS-40QR has the same large print area as the bolt seal BS-40, but has a special function on QR code. This QR code can be scanned by mobile phone or tablet and customers can track the cargo’s location on an online portal. These bolt locks also have anti-spin construction such that locked seals cannot be rotated out.
Our Cable seals for shipping containers and cargo
Hoefon’s aluminium cable seal CA-3.5A has a cable length of 300 mm and an impressive breaking strength of 1,250 kg. Therefore this cable seal also provides a level of protection for your cargo. It is ISO PAS 17712:2013 class “H” certified and hence CTPAT compliant. This cable seal is designed for international freights for sealing tank containers, freight containers, lifting equipment, etc.
This alu cable seal is free of plastic and has a breaking strength of 1,900 kg. Our CA-5.0A seals are often used for international freight forwarders. Standard colors for these CTPAT compliant cable seals are red and blue. However, custom colors and prints are always possible with Hoefon Security Seals. What are container bolt seals?
Container bolt seals are strong locking devices used to seal and secure international cargo containers once a shipment is loaded. Upon placing a container seal, a container has been properly closed at origin. Because it can be removed only once, it ensures that a container remains unopened during the journey to its final destination where it is removed by the consignee.
These metal seals therefore provide tamper evidence and help to detect cargo theft or contamination. These security seals have a relative high breaking strength and therefore also provide a greater level of security than most other security seals. A container seal has its own unique number as identification and this number is listed on the shipping paperwork. The people receiving the container must check the bill of lading and check whether the seal number matches with the number on the container.
A container bolt seal used for securing containers must conform to the ISO 17712:2013 high security seal standard in order to be accepted by customs all around the world in ocean shipping. ISO 17712:2013 certified bolt seals comply with CTPAT as well. CTPAT, which stands for Customs Trade Partnership Against Terrorism, was started by U.S. Customs and Border Protection to strengthen international supply chains and improve United States border security. The best place to put a container seal normally is on the container’s right door, as that door will be opened first. You can place the bolt seal on one or both lock rods of the right door.
Container bolt seals can be applied without the use of tools. For removing a bolt seal however, a bolt cutter is required. Bolt seals are one time usable tamper evident seals.
