High security seals

What is a high security seal?
High security seals, also called barrier seals, are seals which are ISO 17712:2013 class ‘H’ certified. High security seals are generally made of metal(s) and are designed to provide a barrier to entry and to indicate possible tampering. Because of their high breaking strength they provide a layer of protection for freight. Certified high security seals are accepted by customs all around the world and are therefore often used for international freight. ISO 17712 compliant seals are by definition CTPAT compliant as well.
High security seals cannot be removed by hand and special equipment, for instance a bolt or cable cutter, is needed to remove the seal.
